Dakota von Datteln is a stunning 2 year old black and red long haired German Shepherd, obviously from a quality breeder. We got him via an animal shelter after his owners had been forced to give him up and were deported to China. Dakota is fully trained. At the rescue, he has been well-behaved, good with new people and other dogs. However, we have learned from a failed home that he needs someone in command with skill and experience working with  protective dogs. Our dream would be a K9 handler. Dakota has such potential. He loves so intensely, but he needs someone he doesn’t feel he needs to protect. He needs an owner who he feels responsible TO, not FOR.
